First time here
This must be like the empth blog/journal/whatever I have on the net.
Lets see - there's LJ. I have it for almost 3 years. Then there's MySpace. Among many other features, it has a blog thinggie too. I'm there mostly for the music. For the bands. Why do all the bands make themselves accounts on MySpace, I don't know, and I'm not the one called to pass any judgments about it. But when you hear each and everyone, they say what a crappy place My Space is. Oh well, just another oddity of the Internet. What's new, eh?
But I found cool bands and people on MySpace I have to admit. One of them is Maynard's Puscifer account. From there I learned about Trig.com. So, yes, I have an account there, and I'm among all those hundreds of people on the net (weirdos or not) that friended Maynard. I'm one of the weirdos.
Anyway, there's also the mandatory DeviantArt account, for those with more or less graphic skills. (Hey, wonder if Maynard has an account there too :P). And, since we're talking about artsy stuff, there's MyArtSpace. Yes, some sort of MySpace of those with artsy inclinations. While for those nutters like me, listening to music all day long, except when sleeping, and sometimes even then, there are places like Last.fm. Of course I joined and have a sort of blog/journal too. (And there's another place, similar to Last.fm, that I also joined and I'm supposed to have a blog there, but I don't recall the name of it).
But that's not all - some of my friends use Hi5, so, in order to see the pics and stuff they upload there, I created an account there too. And there's even more. There's this Ringo thinggie - another friend of mine has her travel pictures posted there, so I got an account there too. And since we're talking about hosting pictures, I will only say this: Photobucket, ImageShack, Flickr, Picassa... How many hours a day does one needs to be up to date with all the things going on there, with the latest posts of your Internet (and some of them real life) friends? Oh, and I didn't mention anything about forums. Because bands have forums. People with certain tastes, jobs, passions, whatever have forums that you join in order to be up to date to the latest developments. Or rather, to have more excuses to waste your time in front of the computer living in this surrogate universe.
So, in the end, the title for this first entry of mine should have been "Yet another internet blog account for me..." Who needs a life when he has this??? Anyway, of course the entry is long, words are my business.
But, I still have this dilemma: what should I make of this blog? I have few ideas, yet I can't decide which one to choose. Until then, though... I'll do some real work.
